Biography
Aisha Ford is an award-winning filmmaker with a gift for gracefully humanizing complex issues, shining a spotlight on the forgotten people of her childhood. Art is her activism; she hopes her films inspire others to also speak their truth. Her work has screened at Academy Award and BAFTA-qualifying festivals worldwide. In 2025, her work screened at SXSW as part of the HERPower is Global showcase. Her feature script Little Rhonda was selected for the NYU Purple List and advanced in the 2026 Sundance Film Festival Development Track.
Artist Statement
"I make films about the moments that other cameras tend to look away from — the long afternoons, the held breath, the first time you understand that the world has chosen a side. I believe in tenderness as a form of rigor."
