Biography

Gerardo Maravilla is a Mexican-American writer-director and LALIFF Inclusion Fellow whose work blends magical realism, speculative drama, and intimate family storytelling. His short film ENSEÑAME COMO MORIR has screened internationally and won the Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival.

Artist Statement

"My stories live where ritual meets the supernatural — where the people we lose teach us how to remain. I make films for the families who already know the dead are still in the room."
